Travel costs

Travel costs are payable on all above services and charges at $1.65 per km.

Further information:
  • Inactive overnight sleepover shifts must include an additional two hours of active home care support.

  • 24 hour notice is required to avoid a full service cancellation fee. Services delivered on public holidays attract a 100% surcharge.

  • If we are unable to deliver a service in your area we will recommend someone who can. This may involve an additional cost to the prices listed above. Your case manager will discuss this with you prior to services commencing.

  • If you would like to receive a particular service from someone external to us then you can request to have them service you through Calvary. Your case manager will discuss this with you prior to services commencing.

Home care package service

Package management supports delivery of a HCP and can cover administrative activities, such as:

  • Establishing and managing home care budgets

  • Coordinating and scheduling services and workers

  • Preparing invoices and monthly statements

  • Complying with regulatory and assurance activities


Fees per fortnight

Level 1 - $60.90

Level 2 - $107.10

Level 3 - $233.10

Level 4 - $353.36


No package management fee will be charged in a month where care recipients do not receive any services other than care management.

Care management is a mandatory service, and we must:

  • Regularly assess your needs, goals and preferences

  • Review your home care agreement and care plan with you

  • Ensure your care and services align with other supports

  • Partner with you and your family or carers about your care

  • Ensure your care and services are culturally safe

  • Identify and address risks to your safety, health and well-being.

Calvary provides after-hours and clinical support 24-hours, 7 days a week, which is included in this fee.


Fees per fortnight

Level 1 - $81.20

Level 2 - $142.80

Level 3 - $310.80

Level 4 - $471.24


No package management fee will be charged in a month where care recipients do not receive any services other than care management.

Calvary Home Care offers coordination of services if the client chooses an external provider to support them with services under their package.

Calvary will charge 10% of the value of the invoice as a processing fee, capped at $20.

Payment options

Calvary offers a variety of payment methods.

Payments are managed through our Head Office. Calvary employees cannot be paid directly.

Yes. The exact amount of funding you could receive is determined by your assessment. If your needs are considered low level care (HCP 1 or 2) and your income and assets are assessed as high, the Income Tested Fee (ITF) contribution may outweigh the benefit of funding.

Income Tested Fee (ITF)

This is a client contribution to the full home care package amount. The ITF is determined by the government (Centerlink) and is based off your yearly income and assets. If you are on a full Commonwealth Age Pension and that is your sole source of income, then you do not pay an ITF fee.

We understand that it’s a hard time and an often exhausting process to go through, that’s where Calvary can help. We can activate your assessment for you – all you have to do is call our team of Home Care experts to start the process.

If you have an accountant who knows your assets or you or a family member has filled out a pension application previously, then the information from these may help you at this point of the process.

Your monthly statement from Calvary lists the full amount of your government subsidy and your co-payment fees. It will also display your delivered services and balance of funds available in your budget.

Any unspent money will be carried forward into the following month.

Your Home Care Package (HCP) is completely flexible and changes can be made to your services in consultation with your case manager if you need different care. Calvary can also advocate with My Aged Care (MAC) on your behalf so your HCP level can increase if you need further support either whilst you are waiting for a HCP to commence or after it has commenced, and your needs have changed.

In addition to this, you always have the option to ‘top-up’ your support with Calvary’s private services at any time, just chat to your case manager to arrange this.
