We offer a range of amenities at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital including:
Calvary Bruce Private Hospital has been designed so that everyone can easily access our facilities, using inclined walkways and ramps throughout. All levels of our hospital are accessible by lifts.
We have clear, straightforward signage throughout the hospital to make it easier to find your way around. The signage uses contrasting colours to help people with impaired vision.
Wheelchairs are available for use while at the hospital. If you need a wheelchair, please discuss your requirements with your care team.
If you’re in the car park and need a wheelchair, or assistance getting to or from your appointment, use the phone next to the car park office and dial 02 6245 3100 for help.

Zouki café
Our onsite café is located on the ground floor of Calvary clinic.
Open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Shops and snacks
Snack and drink vending machines are located at the main reception and available 24 hours a day.
Supermarkets and specialty stores are available at the Jamison Centre and Westfield Belconnen, which are a short drive from the hospital.
Florist
Zouki café sells flowers, and most florists in Canberra deliver to Calvary Bruce Private Hospital.
The chapel is open at all times, and provides a calm and restful environment for all patients and visitors.
People of all faiths can visit the chapel.
The schedule of Catholic and Anglican services is displayed outside the chapel.
For chaplaincy services please ask a member of your care team to contact the pastoral care unit to arrange a visit from your preferred faith group.
There is not a hairdressing service onsite at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital, but patients are welcome to arrange these and other personal services.
The timing of attendance of these services should be discussed with your care team before appointments are finalised.
The Calvary Bruce Private Hospital pharmacy services are provided by HPS, pharmaceutical services are for Calvary patients only.
The Pharmacy does not provide a prescription service to the public. If you are a discharged patient you will be given a short course of medication to last until your follow up appointment with your GP or specialist, please note you may be invoiced from HPS directly. It is important that you organise a follow up appointment promptly so that you do not run out of medication.
Please note: It’s important that you bring your current medications and prescriptions if you have a planned admission to Calvary Bruce Private Hospital or arrive as an emergency patient.

The pharmacy is located on the ground floor and is available to hospital patients only.
We offer compassionate emotional support and spiritual care for you, your family and friends. Our pastoral care service acknowledges your beliefs, important relationships and all that is meaningful for you. It affirms your intrinsic value as a person.

Struggling with a sense of purpose or meaning
Experiencing a time of crisis
Feeling lonely or isolated
Grieving a loss
Making important decisions
Needing support with your religious/spiritual practice
Wishing to contact a priest or minister of religion
Preparing for death

If you would like a visit from pastoral care during your stay, please ask a staff member.
All patients are allocated a private room and ensuite.
All our rooms have the following features and facilities:

Bedside entertainment
We provide all patients with a radio and free-to-air television at their bedside.
A complimentary newspaper will be provided to you each morning of your inpatient stay.
Patients may use their mobile phone while at the hospital.
Please be considerate of other patients, and keep call volume, duration and frequency to a minimum.
A post box is located at the Xavier Building entry to Calvary. The box is cleared daily and postage stamps are available to purchase from our Zouki café.
Accommodation
If you’re an immediate family member, or a carer of an interstate patient admitted to Calvary Bruce Private Hospital, you may be eligible to stay at Rotary Cottage.
Rotary Cottage offers modestly priced on-campus accommodation and has ensuite rooms with access to a shared lounge and kitchen.

If you’re looking for accommodation near the hospital, please note that we’re located about 10 minutes driving time from the city centre and North Canberra, and five minutes from Belconnen.
Lounge
Lounge areas for visitors are available at the main reception of the hospital, ground floor and the critical care department on level 4.
Patients may accompany visitors in these spaces, but please check with their care team beforehand.
Wi-Fi is available to patients, please speak with the ward clerk on your admission.
