Music therapy
Music Therapy at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is one of the most established in Australia, providing specialised clinical programs across all CHCB service areas.
Our therapists are highly trained and are involved in an ongoing music therapy education program that keeps them abreast of the latest research in the field.
As well as providing therapy at the bedside, our music therapists create musical plans with patients aimed at enriching their lives. The Music Therapy Program can include performing music, relaxation, music assisted counselling and song writing.
Music Therapy Outreach Program
For almost 20 Years Calvary Health Care Bethlehem‘s Music Therapy Department has been involved a highly successful outreach program that provides other agencies such as residential care facilities, hostels, hospitals and community based health programs with the benefits of our services.
The Music Therapy Outreach Program operates on a fee for service basis. The program is tailored to the specific needs of each participating agency to reflect their philosophy of care and specific client needs. The program aims to assist in improving the care management of clients.
