Facilities

Our hospital offers a range of amenities to ensure comfort and convenience for both patients and visitors.

Calvary North Adelaide Hospital has been designed so that everyone can easily access our facilities, using inclined walkways and ramps throughout. All levels of our hospital are accessible by lifts.

We have clear, straightforward signage throughout the hospital to make it easier to find your way around

Wheelchairs are available for use while at the hospital. If you need a wheelchair, you can get one by asking the nurse caring for you.

Further parking information is available on our Maps and Transport page.

Café

There is a Hudsons coffee shop located on the ground floor at the rear of the hospital. Hudson’s can be accessed via the main entrance on the ground floor for patients and relatives to purchase food and beverages.

You can also buy newspapers and magazines at Hudson’s café.

Vending machines

Vending machines are located on the first floor of the hospital.

A chapel is located on the ground floor in the Mary Potter Hospice.

It is hoped that whoever uses our chapel will find a place of stillness for reflection, quiet time, privacy or prayer. The notice board outside the chapel will inform you when any services are to be held.

As it is a sacred space, all respect due to such a place is requested. Please do not take food or drinks into the chapel.

Pastoral care and bereavement support

Pastoral care staff are available Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm.

Communion or a pastoral visit can be e requested through nursing staff or by leaving a message on 08 8239 9285.

Alternatively a pastoral care worker will visit you as soon as possible after your admission.

Should you feel the need for a little pampering during your stay we can arrange for a hairdresser to visit the hospital.

Hand and Foot massage volunteers attend the hospital regularly to provide support and comfort to patients.

The massages are freely given and very popular with the patients, adding to the holistic care offered at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital.

There is no florist on site, but Hudson’s café sells a limited range of flowers. Flowers and/or gifts that are delivered to the hospital will be delivered to your room as they are received.

There are some restrictions to flowers in some areas. We do apologise for the inconvenience if this occurs.

If your hospital stay includes some time in Intensive Care, there are restrictions in place, so please ask your relatives and friends to send flowers once you have been transferred to the ward.

If you’re coming in for an overnight (or longer) stay, we have a range of private shared and single rooms available. Your preferred accommodation may not be immediately available, but we’ll arrange a transfer to your requested accommodation as soon as we can.
