The celebrations included hosting an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event. The money raised will help to fund world class research, prevention programs and support services for cancer patients and their families. 39 Residents and Volunteers gathered in the main dining hall and enjoyed various cakes, slices and scones. The birthday cake was cut by Ron Budden, Volunteer at Mt Providence for 26 years.

The event also coincided with the announcement of the new integrated facility at Brennan Park. The new project, to be completed by early 2017, will feature 65 residential care beds and 42 independent living units. Once the new facility is built, the residents will be relocated and there will be room for new residents. Our staff will continue to provide quality care just as Mt Providence has delivered for the last 40 years but in a more contemporary environment.
