Mr Bowles joined the respected and well-regarded mission-driven organisation in 2017, embracing the vision of the founding Sisters of the Little Company of Mary to transform into a modern and responsive healthcare provider meeting the diverse needs of the communities it serves.

“In those early days we strategically reshaped the organisation to foster innovation at the local level and build connected care pathways within each state we operated. Our investments, acquisitions and partnerships laid the groundwork for a grander transformation,” Mr Bowles said.

“Last year we launched our refreshed strategic vision to deliver “great, connected care”, guiding our long-term plans to provide the same high-quality, sustainable healthcare as one Calvary nationally.”

“I am immensely proud of all Calvary’s achievements over the past eight years and will continue to champion the advocacy efforts and future successes from the sidelines. The dedicated, passionate and committed people of Calvary have overwhelmingly contributed to our reputation as a trusted, compassionate healthcare provider caring for the needs of the individual patient, resident and client in front of us,” he said.

Little Company of Mary Health Care Board Chair, Jim Birch, acknowledged the leadership and contributions of Mr Bowles over the last eight years.

“Martin is a highly respected leader at a national and global level, and he is a truly outstanding CEO, whose substantial contribution to Calvary will be long lasting. Through his leadership Calvary has transformed into a values-driven, integrated healthcare service with an intense focus on exemplifying the mission of the Venerable Mary Potter,” Mr Birch said.

“The Board wishes Martin well in his future endeavours and we know he will always be a good friend and colleague of all at Calvary.”

The Board will announce a new National Chief Executive Officer in due course.
