Calvary Home Care’s new Forster Service Centre to benefit Mid North Coast
Calvary Home Care General Manager, NSW and ACT, Jessica Scaife, said the new service centre would allow the team to support more older people in the region stay in their homes and their communities for longer.
“Our new service centre on Forster’s Wharf Street is the ideal location for our team, ensuring the community knows we are here and what services we provide,” Ms Scaife said.
“There is an increasing demand for home care across the Mid North Coast, which is why we are growing our team and increasing access to the services we provide, with a focus on clinical care and complex case management.
“Our team can support older people in the community with everything from personal care and social support, to transport and clinical care. We are all incredibly passionate about helping our clients live at home for longer, maintaining their independence and connection to their communities for longer.”
Calvary also provides respite services for day, overnight and transition from hospital to home clients through the Star of the Sea Respite Cottage.
Luke Sams, Calvary Regional CEO, Northern NSW, said Calvary Mid North Coast Home Care supported clients from Port Macquarie to Forster, and as far inland as Gloucester.
“In addition to this new service centre in Forster, we are also maintaining a presence in the Taree region with a satellite office co-located with Calvary St Paul’s Residential Aged Care Home in Cundletown,” Mr Sams said.
“Calvary’s vision is to provide great, connected care, and we work across our services to ensure our clients get the care they need. This includes providing respite to our Home Care clients at both Calvary St Paul’s and the Star of Sea Respite Cottage.”
Aged Care traineeships at Calvary
The co-location of the Calvary Home Care satellite office in Cundletown with Calvary St Paul’s Residential Aged Care Home has also created more training opportunities for staff.
“Calvary offers traineeships and opportunities to upskill, and it is great that we can do that alongside our amazing colleagues at Calvary St Paul’s. We are all passionate about providing care to others and it is valuable to train together and learn from one another,” Ms Scaife said.
“If you are interested in starting a career in home care or would like to hear more about the services we can provide in your home, I encourage you to come visit us at our new office in Forster or in Cundletown.”
The Calvary Mid North Coast Home Care Service Centre is open from 8am to 5pm on Monday to Friday.
