National Volunteer Week
“You have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”
From 12-18 May 2014, Calvary Mater Newcastle celebrated National Volunteer Week, taking time to celebrate volunteers who nurture and support people in our community.
The hospital is blessed to have over 95 volunteers who each give many hours of their time a week to help care for our patients and visitors, as well as being a tower of strength and support to our staff.
Volunteers are both a valuable part of our community and a powerhouse of fundraising activities, this year contributing to provide equipment and research that otherwise would not be possible.
