Calvary Central Districts hospital is a private hospital, located in the Northern Adelaide region. It is a modern, boutique hospital, that services the local community by providing a comprehensive range of acute medical and surgical services. The dedicated team at Calvary Central Districts Hospital is committed to providing personalised health care to meet the needs of individuals.
The hospital specialises in comprehensive cancer care management, including day chemotherapy, haematology and radiation oncology.
Our new procedure suite and day of surgery unit supports the specialities of orthopeadics, colorectal surgery, gastroenterology, ENT, ophthalmology, gynaecology, urology, respiratory, breast, general and endocrine surgery.
Calvary Central Districts hospital has developed an excellent reputation in delivering end of life care for people with terminal illness through the skilled and dedicated services provided by our doctors, nurses and pastoral care team. The 5 bed unit is comprised of single rooms with ensuites and each room has outdoor access to garden areas. Lounge areas and a kitchen is available for visitors. A chapel is open 24 hours a day for prayer or quiet contemplation.
The land on which Calvary Central Districts Hospital was built was purchased in 1978 by Hospital Corporation of America (H.C.A) and the Central Districts Private Hospital was officially opened 4 May 1980. Central Districts Hospital was purchased by The Little Company of Mary Healthcare (LCMHC) in May 2006 and was renamed Calvary Central Districts Hospital.
