Calvary Muswellbrook – The Big Move is Finally Here
“What a successful day it was, I feel so honoured and privileged to lead such a great team,” Calvary Muswellbrook manager Bradley Roberts said. “Staff and residents are already adjusting to the new environment.” Thirty-seven residents transferred from the old Mt Providence site to the purpose-built community located at 15 Cassidy Avenue.
Muswellbrook District Hospital aged care residents will move in the following two weeks with new residents to follow. The dates have been staggered across March and April to ensure a smooth transition for residents and their families. Calvary residents are excitedly exploring their new surroundings and enjoying the new community spaces. “I love it. I can’t believe we are finally here it’s just beautiful,” said resident Pauline Coleman.
Some residents couldn’t wait to unpack and get their rooms in order. Many families joined in assisting their loved ones with arranging their rooms.
Staff member Joyann Swann said “It was a big day for everyone. I am looking forward to welcoming in our new residents who’ll be joining us very soon.”
The community also features 22 brand new 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas. Calvary’s independent living residents moved from the units on 15 March into their brand new villas. New residents will start to move into their villas from April. There are still villas available.
